In this video installment of PROCESS, we visit the small woodshop of Satta Skates in Brixton, South London, where Joe Lauder hones his craft. Joe Lauder is a passionate British woodworker with a remarkable love for his work and its medium--wood. From sourcing the wood to marking, cutting, shaping and sanding it down, to drilling and finishing each piece, Joe attends to the whole process with impressive attention to detail and skill. Each resulting handcrafted skateboard is a quality piece of art telling a unique story of its journey in the hands of this inspired craftsman. Satta skateboards embody the brand's guiding principles of freedom, "positive livity", surfing on sidewalks and love for nature.
